Sintekerst 2012

Ook dit jaar heb ik weer Sintekerst gevierd met de knutselvriendinnen. Een paar weken geleden hadden we lootjes getrokken en er werd stevig nagedacht over het cadeau. Ieder jaar is het weer een hele uitdaging om iets te bedenken omdat iedereen zelf ook hele mooie dingen kan maken. Maar het is weer gelukt. Ik heb een  poppenhuisquiltje in "Tilda" kleuren gemaakt. 

Het hele quiltje is ongeveer 12,5 bij 12,5 cm 

This year we celebrated Sintekerst, a cross between the dutch Sinterklaas and Christmas. Some weeks ago we had a lottey to decide for whom we had to make a gift. Every year a challange since all of us make beautifull miniatures. I made a small quilt about 5 by 5 inch.

En voor allemaal had ik een klein porceleinen hobbelpaardje gekocht. Het is ongeveer 5 cm breed en 4 cm hoog.

And I had bought a small rocking horse for all my friends, it is about 2 inch wide and 1,5 inch high.

Zelf kreeg ik natuurlijk ook leuk cadeaus, daar moet ik nog een plekje voor zoeken. Sinds ik een tijd geleden bezig ben geweest met schilderen en opknappen van mijn oude huis, zijn mijn huizen niet helemaal mooi ingericht. Gedeeltelijk staan de spullen nog steeds in dozen.

Misschien is dit wel een mooie aanleiding om weer eens alles mooi in te richten en verder te gaan met het leggen van vloeren zodat de kamers eindelijk weer mooi en netjes zijn.

De eerste foto is van de cadeaus voor Sintekerst die ik kreeg maar dat was niet het enige, ik kreeg ook nog een kerst pakket, een workshopje en een doosje met versnipperd nederlands geld. Op de tweede foto zie je alle cadeautjes bij elkaar. 

In the first picture you see the gifts I received for Sintekerst but I received more, a workshop and a christmasbox. In the second picture you see everything put together. Now I have to find places to put everything. Some time ago I worked on my first house and things have been stored since then. So this might be a good time to get my houses organized and decorated again.

Making birthday gifts

One of the friends of the dollshouse group celebrated her birthday today. So I made some gifts, but could not show it before. She has several houses and a light house so I made some gifts with a nautical theme. Two clocks, some bookstands with tiny boats on them, a pillow, a framed starfish and a worn box for keys.

Sintekerst 2011

Between 5 december and Christmas our dollshouse group celebrates Sintekerst. We make a gift for one of the members and have a wonderful morning and delicious lunch together. This year several ladies made/bought a small gift for everybody.

Here are the little gifts, a handy booklet for the shopping list at a fair, a mug and christmasbears will probably end up at the christmas market. The little heart and pictures will maybe go to the countryshop or a bedroom....

I've made this plantshelf and some brocante stuff to decorate and fill it. The planters are made from a pattern from Pilar and decorated with print I found somewhere on an internetsite, sorry I do not remember where. The storage jars for coffee and tea I made myself, but the prints where from internet as well.

These are the gifts I received. A big bag full of goodies, candles and a lot of parfumboxes. The boxes will go to the bed and bathrooms. The candles will find a spot in the countryshop.

Inside the bag where boxes with childrens toys, cookies, a fishpie, and nicely decorated fabric. The fabric might get turned into a pillow. The other items will find their way to different rooms.
